Case Study

The National Trust Seaton Delaval Hall

The building can be traced back to 1720 but the estate 1000 years.  Now owned and operated by the National Trust, it was a privilege to be asked to provide building regulation approval for the extensive upgrade works to the hall and associated buildings.

“The Curtain Rises Project” was the National Trust’s largest project in the UK at time of restoration! Assure Building Control have been involved in this project since 2018 and with completion in early 2021 we have been involved in every aspect of the work both at the design stage through all site works to completion.

We were involved in intriguing sub-projects such as the Carriage House, Potting Sheds, West Wing and Main Hall to name but a few.  You couldn’t fail to be impressed by this magnificent and iconic building and the whole team involved in this have given this great building a very sensitive and respectful refurbishment and another great future for many to enjoy.
